Digital text modes |
For the digital mode transmission on The Mighty KBC, February 15-16, we will try MFSK64. At 240 words per minute, it allows us to pack more information into the KBC digital minute. But, in difficult shortwave reception conditions, MFSK64 is less robust than our usual MFSK32. The MFSK64 will be centered on 1500 Hz and will consist of text and a small image. The MFSK64 will be transmitted Saturday at about 1230 UTC on 6095 kHz and Sunday at about 0130 UTC (Saturday evening in North America) on 7375 kHz.
